Her Own Mother

At some point this summer, I tried to teach Miette where her tummy was. Around the same time, I was desperate to somehow get it into her head that I was her mom. Picture me frequently pointing to myself while brightly enunciating "Mama!" "Mommy!!" For one or both of these reasons, if you ask Miette who her mommy is, she will vigorously point to herself.
She's been doing it for a few months, and I don't know that she'll ever stop...

Possibly a precociously early version of "don't tell me what to do" and "you're not the boss of me." I recognize the signs. But, the daughter who shall remain nameless, (though you know who she is) who began calling me Deborah almost as early as she could talk turned out pretty well, don't you think?

Yes, knowing that nameless daughter of yours gives me hope in this situation!
