Book Recommendation
I just finished one of those books that I enjoyed so much I didn't want it to end. Michael Chabon's The Yiddish Policemen's Union did everything for me that great stories are supposed to. A trusted friend had recommended it*, so when the first chapter or two were tough for me to get into, I decided to give it one more shot, and I'm so glad I did.
It is a deep, zany, moving, grisly, suspenseful, engaging romp through an alternative-history community of Jewish and Native Alaskans. I don't know if this is coming through here, but I LOVED THIS BOOK, and maybe you would like it, too.
*Through Facebook, actually. If this is all Facebook ever does for me, it might just be worth it.
