 As I looked over this little group of pictures, I noticed the marked difference in emotional complexity shown in Miette's photos versus Sebastian's. Some of that is due to age, but perhaps gender plays a role, too?

Every time I see a picture of her, I think, "I love how serious her thoughts seem to be." Don't get me wrong, I love her relaxed and beautiful smiles too, but there is something about many of her expressions that carry a whole of depth in them. I think I started noticing this more on the camping trip, when I saw that she wasn't a morning person, which made my heart happy :)
